*Ensure the working status of the vessel Pipeline welding equipment (WPE) such as Passo and SWS (Saipem Welding System) and in Field joint coating equipment such as grit blasting, induction heat, IMPU and IMPP
*Working experience in electrical field: equipment testing, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, cable pulling, ability to read electrical schematics
*Working experience in mechanical field: equipment maintenance, installation, troubleshooting
*As secondary abilities should be the minimum use of computer. Knowledgeable in Excel in order to use a table to keep track of the stock consumption in order to be able to foresee the future need, then to issue excel based material requests etc.

REQUIREMENTS

As profile for the coating or plasma, the ideal candidate for a WET coating is a technician with an Electro technical experience/diploma (electro technical diploma obtained from an post high school institution -2 years degree), who normally have the following knowledge:

· Electrical

· Industrial data processing

· Automatism

· Mechanical

· Pneumatic

· IT ( excel, word)



Very important to have experience with automation using PLC, pressure transducers & limit switches

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Report to Master
• Maintain awareness and ensure that all technical staff is familiar with the relevant Company requirements and, where applicable, the latest industry codes and standards including statutory rules and regulations
• Ensure all workspace technical and maintenance activities are carried out consistently with Company policies and in accordance to Vessel Management System
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all machineries on board
• Ensure that permit to work system and relevant isolation procedures are understood and observed in his Department
• Ensure that the Asset Management Operative System (AMOS) is rigorously implemented, in order to survey, test and maintain all ship machinery/equipment, including Emergency and Safety systems and all Corporate owned/rented equipment which may be operated on/from the vessel, in accordance with statutory, class, flagstate, company requirements and standards
• Propose to the Master necessary reviews on the operation manual when changes to equipment or standard operating procedures take place
• Ensure that DP engine room operations, where required, are carried out as per Company procedures
• Ensure that Oil Record Book and Engine Log Book are accurately filled and up to date
• Issue, maintain and complete all documents and reports related to the engine department, as written instructions to all watch-keeping engineers, monthly technical report, records of periodical and emergency maintenances performed
• Ensure that efficient and timely ordering of adequate resources and spares has been done for all ship equipments
• Report to the Master and support the investigation of accidents, near-misses, hazardous and unsafe act/conditions, HSE non-conformities and other matters with implications for the safe operation of the Vessel
• Notify the Master immediately of any defects which may affect ships safety and operations capabilities or put at risk the marine environment
• Maintain vessel technical library and equipment user manual
• Issue standing order to watch keeping engine-room personnel
• Order, in consultation with the Master, spare parts and consumables bunkers and fresh water for the Vessel
• Issue hand-over reports to his relieve and copies shore based management as per distribution list
